What a mess

Kaden all messy

Sunday at our house is the day of cleaning. We try to sleep in till about 8 am if Kaden lets us, then we get up and start laundry and clean, clean, and clean some more. I usually try to cook a nice dinner for us as well. So today we decided we would cook some of the steaks we had saved up for bbq weather... Chad just couldnt wait anymore for this so called nice weather and decided to bbq in the snow. (yes I am aware that my husband is a little crazy) I made my moms home made mashed potatoes and gravy, and even attempted to make rolls. And you should all know that of course they didn't rise. Im not sure why, but I can never make rolls without ruining them. But we had a great dinner together. Chad set the table and even lit some candles. It was pretty sweet. Anyways the point of this is that after dinner, Kaden refused to get cleaned up and ran downstairs to play, by the time I got down here it was like a tornado had come through and messed up everything I cleaned up for the past couple of hours. I guess when you have a two year old, toys just are'nt meant to be put in a toy box!

Corner!! NOW!!

I guess a little bit of my "discipline" is rubbing off on Kaden. He has taken it upon himself to put everyone and everything in the corner lately. Its kind of funny. A couple of days ago he said that Tyrone (one of the backyardigans) hit him, and thats naughty so he needed to be put in the corner. I could'nt resist taking these pictures of it.

Twilight update

Just so you all know the reason I haven't been posting as much is because I did end up finding the Twilight book, as well as the other two books that followed and I have been too busy reading them to do anything else. I have just finished the third book Eclipse and I'm pretty sad that I have to wait till August for the next one to come out! For anyone who hasn't read these books yet, you must! They are great.

Easter

This year Easter was a blast. I enjoyed it mostly because Kaden can get involved with dying eggs and hunting eggs. He had so much fun. It would have been a million times better if we had been in California with my family though!

Dinosaur park

Today was such a fun day! Kellie, Ethan, Maren, Kaden, and I went to the dinosaur park. It was a little cold but we had a great time. It was nice to see the kids have such a great time. Here are some pictures from the day.

Wow I started reading this book today and Im hooked! Kellie has it and has been talking about it and I am pretty upset that I cant find any copies of it! I have looked at 4 stores today. I must buy it and finish reading it.

Carnival!

The Kendall family reunion is coming up and our family is in charge of the planning this year, and since im a nerd and love this kind of thing Kellie and I came up with the idea of a carnival theme. We are so excited about it. We have the fun-est things planned. I cant wait to get started on everything.

I have to say, I love spending time with my boys! I am so excited to have the weekend off now. Its nice to get in some time as a family. We spent most of our time playing cars and watching backyardigans. Lol the life I lead! and I wouldnt trade it for any other.

flip flops

Yesterday Kaden and I went to the mall. I went in search of new jeans, (which of course I didnt find) a bra (which I also didnt find) and flip flops. My day had already been stressful due to work, and of course Kaden decided he didnt want to shop. I dont get it, he has been so bad lately. The terrible two's really are terrible! Every store I tried to go into he would yell "no mommy I dont want that store" he was yelling so loud that I think everyone in the mall heard. I wish I could figure out a way to keep him quiet for at least two seconds! On the up side though I did purchase my first pair of flip flops which will start my new collection for this year! Yeah im kind of a dork, but its ok. Flip flops are probably one of my favorite things in the world.
